MISSION STATEMENT
Magen Am is dedicated to training and empowering Jewish communities to be secure and actively participate in that security, so they may live and practice in peace.
WHAT WE DO
Magen Am makes a real impact on the security and protection of the Jewish community.
We are the only Jewish, non-profit organization licensed to provide physical, armed
security services on the West Coast of the United States. We operate a number of
programs to empower communities to train and secure themselves.
We are fully licensed and insured, and follow all regulations set forth by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services and municipal code.
WHERE WOULD THE FUNDING GO
Community Team Member (CTM) Program: Your contribution will support our Community Team Member (CTM) Program, the heartbeat of the organization. CTMs are Community Members who receive intensive training and licensing to provide embedded, armed security at Jewish institutions as volunteers. Our Community Team Members also respond to real-time incidents, support armed patrol and secure community events. They are the security stewards of their communities.
We would leverage this funding to subsidize highly dedicated CTMs who are giving back by training future CTMs so that this investment can continue to lower the cost for future graduates and give a larger return to the community.
